    A typical summer around here is very, very hot with no breeze whatsoever,” says Tara Wright-Allen. As our Mission Support Front Desk Monitor, Tara routinely sees the effects that punishing heat has on our non-resident guests. “It starts getting hot around 9:00am,” she tells us. “They can get overheated and dehydrated."

    Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County is staying informed about COVID-19 (coronavirus) and taking the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of the population we serve, our staff, and our volunteers. We have intensified cleaning regimens and made sanitizing stations readily available. All decisions are consistent with Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations and have been carefully made to support the prevention of the COVID-19 virus from being spread in our community.
