Your donated goods help our neighbors in need. When you donate goods from your household, it helps someone transition from homeless to a safe and stable home.
How Your Donations Change Lives
Each month, nearly 30 households are set up with essential items thanks to in-kind donations. An empty apartment doesn’t feel like home—until it’s filled with the everyday items we often take for granted.
Your donations provide essential “move-out packages” that include:
- Pots and Pans
- Dishes and Utensils
- Cleaning Supplies
- Furniture
- Bedding and More
When we receive items we can’t use directly, we steward them wisely by reselling them at UGM-TC events or through our online market—raising funds for our life-changing programs.

Items We’re Unable to Accept
To Ensure Safety, We Cannot Accept:
- Large appliances (stoves, freezers, refrigerators)
- Mattresses, box springs, sofa beds, or sectionals
- Used pillows or toys
- Oversized or heavy furniture (e.g., armoires, china cabinets)
- Pianos, organs, medical or exercise equipment
- Office furniture or glass tables
- Garage sale leftovers or unsorted boxes
- Damaged, ripped, or stained goods
- Washers or dryers
Clothing & Shoes
We distribute clothing and shoes every day—to both residents and neighbors in need. Your donations meet real, ongoing needs throughout the year.
