Kitchen and Dining
7 Days a Week, Three Meals a Day:
Breakfast Serving: 5:30 am – 7:30 am
Lunch Serving: 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on weekdays and 11:00 am – 2:00 pm on Sundays
Dinner Serving: 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Assist the kitchen staff in preparing and serving meals. To ensure the effectiveness of your time, we are only able to schedule 10 volunteers for each meal. Sack lunches are also needed for residents and guests of the Mission.
Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
We have many generous donors of clothing, furniture, housewares, hygiene and other items. Volunteers can help with the sorting and organizing so that our residents and guests can “shop” for items they need.
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the basics of Christian faith. Typically run over 11 weeks, each session looks at a different question that people can have about faith and is designed to create conversation.
If you have taken an ALPHA course or are a trained ALPHA Leader or Helper, we welcome you as a volunteer for the ALPHA sessions. There is scheduled training for the upcoming courses at Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County. Please contact Chaplain Maneikis at 817.334.0894 or email@example.com if you are interested in being a volunteer ALPHA Leader or Helper.
