He returned to Texas and had a falling-out with his family that left him living in a series of motels. When his car broke down, life became unmanageable. “I dug myself a deeper hole. When the new millennium began, Lisa was living the American dream in Silicon Valley with her husband and two children. The family was secure and the new century held endless possibilities. But after 9/11, the boom in Silicon Valley went bust. Before she knew it, Lisa lost her house, her marriage and her will to keep fighting.
