    Two weeks into the New Year, Joseph could see 2019 didn’t hold a lot of promise for him. He was on probation and had nowhere to live. “I had a legal issue. I couldn’t go back home,” he explains. “and my family were all in California and Oklahoma.”

He had already had another brush with the law and feared he would never be able to start over. But Patrick found a new beginning when his peer sponsor led him to UGM-TC.
