    On the outside, Karen seemed like a typical mother and grandmother. Inside, she hid a lot of pain and guilt. “I wasn’t a nice person,” she admits. “I’ve done some terrible things, and I’ve always had a problem forgiving myself.”

  • Renewal Story: Leslie

    Growing up in Nigeria, Leslie was an avid and accomplished soccer player. At 18, he immigrated to Texas with his father and enrolled in Arlington Heights High School. Football coach Charles Perry took one look at the 6’3”, 285-lb teen and asked if Leslie would like to try a new sport.

    Easter is a time of celebration for Christians everywhere. But Easter is particularly meaningful to all of us here at Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County because here we see God resurrecting people from death. What I mean is that people come to UGM-TC who are spiritually and emotionally dead and who need to be brought back to life.
