Easter 2019 at UGM-TC!

Posted: April 23, 2019

Easter is a time for faith and fellowship, and nowhere is that more true than at Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County. For the little ones, we had Easter egg hunts, a visit from the Easter Bunny and plenty of baskets full of treats and toys for every child. They also received a brand-new outfit to wear to chapel Sunday morning.

On Good Friday our residents and guests were treated to a delicious spaghetti lunch provided by St. Lawrence church. They have been preparing a Good Friday spaghetti lunch here for over 25 years now. How special is that?

Easter Sunday was a very special day. We started the morning with a sunrise service with UGM-TC Chaplain, Father Andy Powell. He was overjoyed to spend his first Easter at UGM-TC with our residents and guests from the street. He brought hope and light into the hearts and lives of everyone as he shared the Good News. After chapel everyone gathered in the dining hall for fellowship and a delicious brunch prepared by our kitchen staff. The best part was the surprise 22 pound chocolate bunny that was donated to us by Kilwins in Grapevine earlier in the week.

Every Easter at UGM-TC is inspiring and memorable, and this year was no exception. Thank you for your gifts and prayers on Easter and every day.
