Scott Walker Women and Families Services Building Now Open!

We are excited to announce that the Scott Walker Women and Families Services Building is now open! The growing need to assist more single women, families and even single fathers in recent years has been a goal of ours. We are thrilled that we can continue to serve our clients efficiently and increase our amount of successful outcomes. Since this past June we have opened the doors to our first women’s overnight emergency shelter.

The new 39,707 square foot facility now provides:

• 28 rooms for single women (double occupancy)
• 5 rooms for men and children
• 5 rooms for couples with children
• 12 bed overnight shelter for women
• Suzie Murray Chapel
• Library / Computer Room
• Program Rooms
• Activity Rooms
• Large Courtyard for residents
• Program Director Offices
• Pantry and Walk-in Freezers
• Hair Salon
• Laundries

On September 21st we will be holding a dedication for the Scott Walker Women and Families Services Building. As well as the reveal of our brand new computer lab donated to us generously by the Dallas Mavericks Foundation. We will be receiving 20 new computers, a printer, and software. We are so grateful to all the individuals, foundations, corporations, churches, and community groups who have so generously contributed, allowing us to expand the UGM-TC ministry of love, hope, respect, and new beginnings.
