Emergency Care: Food, Shelter for Men in Need

At Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County, we know life transformation cannot happen until the most urgent needs of life are met. That is why our emergency services to men are so critical. By providing food and shelter, we can help them deal with the issues that contributed to being homeless.

FOOD
The homeless and hungry can receive a hot meal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.  For dinner, doors open a little after 5 p.m. and all guests attend a short chapel service before the meal.

SHELTER

UGM-TC offers temporary, emergency housing for transients every night in the 48-bed Men’s Overnight Emergency Dorm. Guests require a homeless ID card or a state ID to sleep in the shelter. Admission and registration is from 7–9 p.m. each night, when guests are introduced to UGM-TC policies and procedures, and entered into the computer system.

Each guest may stay three free nights per month. When temperatures are over 90 degrees or under 40 degrees, guests are welcome regardless of how many nights of shelter they have used that month
