Christ-Centered Programs Get to the Heart of Homelessness

For the men and women who come to UGM-TC to make lasting changes, we offer many different services and programs that address their greatest needs. Holistic, customized care rather than cookie-cutter solutions support and challenge each resident to make positive changes in many different areas of life. But the most important step of all—one that crosses every addiction and meets every need—is a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Specially trained staff and counselors address physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs on a daily basis. Usually the entry point is through providing emergency care—overnight shelter and free meals, clothing, and laundry facilities. A next step may be temporary and transitional housing. Counseling and life classes teach the basic skills necessary to repair broken lives. Childcare and tutoring programs help children achieve in school and regain self esteem. Chapel services provide hope, spiritual growth, and structure. The Healing Shepherd Clinic provides free primary health care and medication for our residents and guests.

All Mission programs aim toward achieving productive independence for each individual, regardless of gender, race, or religious beliefs.
